Jesus Christ commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations by baptizing them and teaching them to obey His commands (Matt 28:19). Until His return, our mission is to be disciples and to make disciples.
At Grace Pentecostal Church of Round Rock, our goal is to help as many people as possible become true disciples of Jesus who experience God’s grace in the power of the Holy Spirit and who fulfill the Lord’s purpose for their lives.
We are seeking to fulfill this mission by being a genuine apostolic, Pentecostal church that faithfully proclaims the gospel, that emphasizes God’s grace and mercy while being gracious to one another, that follows the early church’s beliefs and practices, and that experiences the Holy Spirit in supernatural, life-transforming power.
A new church for Round Rock
Pastor Johnny Celey
Johnny Celey is the pastor of Grace Pentecostal Church. Johnny grew up in Odessa, TX. After graduating from Permian High School, he moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech, and after a short stint there, he moved to Austin in 1992 to attend the University of Texas. He has been in the Austin area ever since. He met the love of his life, Julie, when she moved to Austin in 1994 after graduating from LSU. He and Julie were married in 1997 and have two sons, Michael and Christopher.
Before becoming a minister, Johnny worked as an editor for the Pentecostal Publishing House. After graduating from seminary, he worked for New Life Austin as an assistant for fourteen years and then served as the associate pastor at The Sanctuary of Cedar Park for two and a half years. He and his family then felt called to plant a church in Round Rock, the largest suburb of Austin.
Johnny is a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and has earned a master of arts in theological studies from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Texas at Austin.
